I love this line: “The USDA provides extremely attractive loans to people in certain rural locations, as an enticement to settle down and develop new areas of the country”! Sounds more like the rush to settle land in the western U.S. in the late 1800s that gave rise to the Oklahoma nickname “Sooner,” and not so much like USDA making homeownership possible for those who already live in a rural area!
